What: Large oak tree at front entrance will not be removed.
Why: The tree has been struggling for a while due to overgrowth. During the trail construction, a large portion of the roots were cut for the trail and limbs were cut to accommodate electric lines. Since then, the tree has weakened and the first large branch has fallen causing damage to the entrance sign.
Cost: The City of Longwood declined our request for any form of assistance. Any damage caused by the tree is not our responsibility.
