Seminole County is seeking public input on the EE Williamson Road Trail – Longwood Hills Road Sidewalk Project and the EE Williamson Road – Rangeline Road Intersection Study. Individuals with a vested interest are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the project’s design and study.
The meeting will be held in the Longwood Commission Chambers, 175 West Warren Avenue on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The trail / sidewalk project will provide a 10-foot-wide / 8-foot-wide concrete trail and sidewalk along EE Williamson Road and Longwood Hills Road from the Seminole-Wekiva Trail to CR 427 (Ronald Reagan Boulevard).
This project will also include, signing and marking, signalization and minor drainage improvements. Minimal amounts of additional right of way may be required in select areas. The intersection operational improvement study is located at the EE Williamson Road and Rangeline Road intersection. The study alternatives under consideration include standard signalized improvements and a roundabout including providing a improved trail connection to the proposed trailhead on the north side of Longwood Hills Road between Rangeline Road and Lake Emma Road.
The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the trail /sidewalk project and intersection study and present the preliminary concepts to the public. A brief presentation and other project information will be available throughout the evening. Staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
